In 1952 the Congress of the United States codified Title 8, Chapter 12, titled “The Immigration and Nationality Act”, subsequently signed into law by the President of the United States.
While it has been amended and modified several times — most importantly by the “Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965” — it is the current Law of the Land until the duly-elected members of Congress go through the proper procedures and change it.
Those said Members of Congress have — for whatever reason — chosen to not amend, change, or modify Title 8, Chapter 12 of the United States Code.
While the auto-pen previous occupants of the Oval Office have chosen not to enforce Title 8, Chapter 12, the current one has decided to enforce1 laws codified into Title 8, Chapter 12 of the United States Code, codified and amended by the Congress of the United States.
Which has kicked-off a sporty start to the summer, I’m here to tell you.
In previous years city, county and State excrescences officials have decided — for whatever reason — that aggravated assault, arson, attempted murder, theft, and vandalism should be tolerated in the name of “peaceful protest”.
Surprising absolutely no adult in possession of two functioning brain cells this tolerance of violence in the name of “protest” has not only encouraged more violence, but the level of violence is being ratcheted up2.
In response to increased levels of violence, the President has federalized the National Guard — as is his right and purview — with the promise that if the National Guard can’t get things under control the Marine Corps is next3.
As an amusing side-note — if you’re protesting being deported back to your home country by waving the flag of the country that you’re protesting being deported back to … your PR guy is performing a massive Migraine Salute4 right now.
Of course the dacoit politicians who have been tolerating this crap behaviour — if not outright encouraging it — are crawfishing their previous tolerance and encouragement. And, again of course, the Propaganda Arm of the Democrat Party the Legacy Media are allowing them to get away with it.
Sigh.
To misquote John Farnam: Those are stupid places, they are stupid people, these are stupid times, and that is definitely stupid things.
Seriously. Anywhere even near5 where armed protestors are about to run into armed Federal troops is a place sane people don’t need to be.
If you’re not being paid by the Government to be there — or you were dumb enough to take a contract6 — go fishing. Stay home and read a book. Do something that involves not being within 50 miles of a riot-infested city.
Ian
If you don’t want him to enforce the law … DON’T GIVE HIM LAWS TO ENFORCE. Morons.
If you are surprised, here’s some dino-nuggies. There are cheerios and mac-n-cheese on that short table over there in the corner. Go eat while the adults talk, ok?
If you’re about to whinge about the use of the USMC to quell unrest, I direct you to the 1946 Battle of Alcatraz. Re-read the part about the Marines USING GRENADES to achieve peace. Yes, you read the all-caps part right.
Look down. Pinch the bridge of your nose between your thumb and forefinger, close your eyes, and gently shake your head from side-to-side. A massive sigh is optional. Voila! You have performed a Migraine Salute.
The Rule Of Thumb: Make a fist at arm’s length. Stick out your thumb. If any part of the city can be seen around your thumb — you’re too close. Back up until the entirety of the city is covered by your thumb.
I hope you got paid half in advance, with 10 percent in Krugerrands. If not … you’re new at this, aren’t you?
You also get the behavior that you pay for.
Nuke it from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.
(and yes, that's exactly how I feel about it. And what I honestly believe would be the best solution).
